EMMA
The Graphic Novel
“Vanity working on a weak head produces every sort of mischief.”
Austen’s wittiest classic, redrawn.
Global Mosaic Foundation is delighted to support Duniath Comics’ graphic novel adaptation of Jane Austen’s Emma.
Emma Woodhouse, handsome, clever, and rich, is convinced she will never marry, although she enjoys playing matchmaker for everyone else in the quaint little town of Highbury. When she takes on the task of finding a suitable match for her friend Harriet Smith, her matchmaking skills lead to a series of romantic mishappenings which put her own heart to the test.
Created in celebration of the 210th anniversary of Austen’s wittiest classic, this adorable new version serves as a friendly, accessible port of entry for readers discovering her for the first time — while delighting long-time Janeites as well.

Jane AustenOriginal Story
“For nearly three years I’ve poured my heart into this graphic novel. It hasn’t been easy — but it’s been beautiful. My love for Jane Austen made me relentless about getting it right, sometimes to a fault. When I finally realised the smartest thing you can do is ask for help, GMF’s Fragments of Brilliance stepped in with the tools, resources, and clear roadmap I needed to get back on track and see this work through to publication. If you believe in stories crafted with care, I’d be honoured to have you stand behind it as well.”
